School Supplies

I know that the year is just starting up, and most students have these already, but this is just a reminder that all students should have the following school supplies as soon as possible:
  • a pencil box (to keep everything organised)
  • a couple boxes of pencils
  • white erasers, pencil sharpener
  • pencils crayons and felts
  • a yellow highlighter, 2 sharpies, a couple of ball point pens
  • 8 1/2 x 11 cahiers (probably only 4 or so)
  • various colors of duotangs (I use different colors for different subjects)
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • a couple of glue sticks
  • a protractor – for the geometry unit in math
  • a large ruler
Each student has a bin in class with their name on it, in which they are to keep their extra supplies.  I believe that the least amount of clutter in their desks, the more successful your child will be as this will allow for better organisation.  In their desks I would like them to keep their pencil box, a couple of pencils, an eraser, glue stick, ruler and their felts and pencil crayons.  Students also have their own shelf by the windows in which they put any unfinished work (to avoid getting work lost in the back of their desks).
Of course one pair of inside shoes is necessary for PE and daily use in the classroom.  Students are reminded to change their shoes before going outside at recess and lunch.
Any questions, please feel free to see me.  Thanks.
